Status of Mobile Voting Today

Voter Turnout

20 percent of the states have implemented mobile voting. The data has shown that when mobile voting is implemented, voter turnout increases.

According to the Harvard Institute of Politics, 72% of voters aged 18–29 say they would be more likely to vote if mobile voting were an option.

In West Virginia's 2018 Pilot Result:  Turnout among eligible voters increased by 30% compared to previous midterms. In a King County, WA pilot, voter turnout increased by over 120%.

Accessability

Bottom line is Democracy is meant for everyone, this starts with providing an equal, convenient, and secure way for every American to cast their vote. That way is Mobile.

Voters can mark their ballots from home, crucial for people with disabilities, overseas voters.

Over 38 million eligible voters in the U.S. have a disability. " 1 in 7 voters with disabilities reported difficulties voting"  (Rutgers University, 2020)

There are 4.4 million U.S. citizens living abroad, including 1.3 million military personnel. (FVAP, 2022)

Only 7% of overseas citizens successfully voted in the 2020 election, largely due to logistical barriers like printing and mailing ballots. (Federal Voting Assistance Program)

Gen Z voters are 3x more likely to prefer mobile-based services than older generations. (Pew Research, 2021)

According to the Harvard Institute of Politics, 72% of voters aged 18–29 say they would be more likely to vote if they could do so from their phone. (Harvard IOP Survey, 2023)

Mobile Voting as Resilient Backup for Elections in Crisis

In times of crisis, elections can't wait!

Mobile Voting has been proven as a secure alternative plan that preserves voting access when traditional methods fail.

 Natural Disasters

Hurricanes, wildfires, floods, extreme heat, or snowstorms

  • Polling sites may be destroyed, inaccessible, or unsafe.

Mobile voters can access their ballot securely online, mark it remotely, and safely return it electronically.

Threats to Polling Locations

Bomb threats, shootings, civil unrest, terrorism, pandemics

  • Threats to public safety can lead to last-minute polling closures, creating voter suppression or chaos.

Mobile Voters don't need to risk their safety. They can complete their ballot in a secure, private location.
