Mobile voting technologies are an evolving technology that has been tested and piloted in hundreds of elections and over 20% of States over the last decade. Although no technology is without some level of risk, to date none of the modern mobile voting technologies have been compromised. Mobile voting offers a possible security upgrade over other forms of voting, as every bit and byte of every ballot can be tracked and audited. Some of the nation's most critical security agencies transmit classified documents electronically. In the case of mobile voting, the document happens to be a ballot. Many of the emerging mobile voting technologies leverage similar secure cloud technologies as the NSA, FBI and CIA.
